The town of Tofino has many sandy beaches that are home to resorts, hostels and beach houses. Tofino lies within the United Nations Clayoquot Sound World Biosphere Reserve, renowned for its dramatic scenery, temperate rainforests and abundant wildlife (whales, sea lions, bears, seabirds, sea otters and more). The surfing capital of western Canada, Tofino captures the hearts of all who travel here.

The town of Ucluelet is your gateway to Barkley Sound. The world famous Wild Pacific Trail traces the rocky outer coastline of the peninsula, from Amphitrite Point lighthouse toward Pacific Rim National Park. See migrating whales, massive winter surf, ocean vistas, stunning sunsets and tidepools galore. Just 40 km southeast of Tofino, Ucluelet provides easy access to Bamfield, the Broken Group Islands and the West Coast Trail.

Port Alberni is the heart of West Coast region, rich with history and culture. Ride a steam train, hike Mount Arrowsmith, or catch a museum or waterfront festival. With inlet access to Barkley Sound and the Pacific Ocean, the historical ship M.V. Lady Rose connects Port Alberni to Bamfield and Ucluelet most of the year.
